I'm Pleased to Announce the Release of My New Book, Little Zoo by the Red Cedar

Potter Park Zoo is a beautiful little zoological park located in the heart of Lansing, Michigan. The first zoo to open in the state of Michigan, it is the smallest accredited park in the country. Despite its small size, Potter Park Zoo is a leader in wildlife education and veterinary science.

As a volunteer at the zoo from 1999 to 2008, I came to feel that someone should write the story of Potter Park Zoo--why not me?

My Work Is Not Done

I'm planning to write a revised edition to celebrate the zoo's 100th anniversary in 2020. As part of the revision, I hope to beef up the pages of the book about the years 1921-1945. If you have any research materials available about Potter Park Zoo during these early years, or if you know someone who is still available for interviews, please let me know!
